1998 Hampton Court Flower Show – Gold Medal and winner of the ‘Tudor Rose Best in Show’
Whilst employed as head designer for a top landscaping company near London, I designed the ‘Daily Mail Pavilion Garden’ for the Daily Mail Newspaper. The design was months in the planning which was rewarded ultimately with a top RHS Gold Medal and Best in Show!
As can be seen from the large format 3-dimensional drawing, I also drew up the entire pavilion for the Daily Mail management for promotional purposes. This included drawing in all the individual gardens from other designers under the roof of the pavilion, I then went on to oversee the building of the gardens built by a team of our own staff.
Nowadays we regularly design and build large scale projects to a set time scale and budget and this early experience certainly gave me the confidence and a taste of building on this scale.
